You just can't believe the view!
Every guest room at Above The Narrows has a southerly ocean view above Sansum Narrows looking towards Vancouver Island. To the left sits Mount Erskine and to the right sits Crofton.

Designed to fit into the beauty of the surrounding topography. Above The Narrows sits low on the hill with ground level walk-out guest rooms to your private terrace.
Natural use of Douglas Fir timbers
Above The Narrrows features exterior Douglas Fir timber posts and knee braces to bring both warmth and that west coast ambience to the property.
Sunlight imbues the home all day long
Extensive use of glass not only exposes the gorgeous views but also brings in light that imbues Above The Narrows differently from early morning to late evening.

The view is spectacular, the access to the channel trails for hiking direct from the house and your knowledge of trails, restaurants and galleries across the island is exceptional, breakfast was great and the room very comfortable with everything we could need provided. Originally from Alberta, Dianne and Joe purchased the property for this home in 2002 with the intent of one day living on Salt Spring Island. Joe is a retired CPA in the hospitality industry and former IT executive and Dianne is a practising family physician here on Salt Spring Island. Both love to travel and host family, friends, and meet new guests.
Over 20 years in the planning...
Conceived by designer Odessa Boehm, and redefined by Boss Design, and Ivory Design, Above The Narrows was envisioned through an iterative process. Every detail was rendered in 3D ensuring we were fully satisfied with the design before construction began. Above The Narrows was meticulously built in 2022-2023.
