The quickest and easiest way to get to Salt Spring Island from YVR is to proceed from the YVR Terminal via Skytrain (32 minutes) to the Richmond South Terminal and take a Harbour Air Seaplane to Salt Spring Island (Ganges Harbour). This is a 25 minute direct flight. We offer complimentary shuttle service (3 or fewer passengers) from Ganges Harbour to our bed and breakfast. We recommend you always contact Harbour Air Seaplanes and reserve your flight in advance of your travel dates. This is especially true around holidays and summer vacation.
If you want to rent a car there are a number of car rental agencies at the airport. We recommend you book ahead for a rental vehicle as they may be in short supply. You would then drive to the Tsawwessan Ferrry Terminal and sail with BC Ferries to Salt Spring Island (Long Harbour). We recommend you always contact BC Ferries and reserve your sailing in advance of your travel dates. This is especially true around holidays and summer vacation.

Once you are in Vancouver

You can also drive to the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal and take BC Ferries to Nanaimo. From Nanaimo you would drive about 1 hour south to Crofton on TransCanada Highway 1 and take BC Ferries at Crofton Harbour to Salt Spring Island (Vesuvius Harbour). We recommend you always contact BC Ferries and reserve your sailing in advance of your travel dates. This is especially true around holidays and summer vacation.
